Fall fun...

Fall is definitely a beautiful time of year in Shaker Heights! The leaves are changing colors and the days are getting cooler. But there were a few warm days that snuck in! Here I am hanging out with Mommy while Evan was sliding in the backyard...

Happy Halloween! This was my first Halloween, and Mommy and Daddy decided to dress me up as a candy corn. What do you think?

I'm 6 months old!

I had my 6-month check-up today and am doing great! I have a new pediatrician since we moved to Ohio, and Mommy likes the new group a lot. They have a 2-story tree house and slide in the waiting room. I cannot wait to get big enough to play on it! I am a proportional child...50th percentile across the boards. I weigh 17 pounds, 7 ounces, and am 26 1/4 inches in length. I am doing great with my rice cereal and now I can start more solid foods. Bring on the oatmeal, veggies, and fruits!

One trick I love to do is stick out my tongue. Mommy thinks it is adorable...don't you?

Army Crawling

I started "army crawling" today! Army crawling is where I use my arms to lift up my chest and move around the ground. I do not get on all four knees yet to truly crawl, as it is easier on the hardwood floors to army crawl. Now I can go everywhere and play with my toys! Here are Evan and I the day I army crawled for the first time...I have been pretty busy the past few weeks. From army crawling to saying, "mama" and "dada". What? Yes! I talk a lot now!I am also facinated with my puppy, Daisy. She never ceases to make me laugh. We are going to be best buds!
Mommy says I'm growing up fast. Who knows what tomorrow will bring!

Mmmmmm...solid food!

I ate my first solid meal of rice cereal tonight. It was yummy! Here I am in my high chair ready for dinner...My first bite...Mmmmmm...Can I have more? Getting messy!

First tooth!

I got my first tooth today! I have been struggling with teething for a while now, being fussy and my gums are ouchy. It sure is no fun! But Mommy and Daddy are always helpful and let me chew on their fingers if I need to!In other news, here is a family photo of us taken on my big brother's first day of preschool...

Front to back!

Tonight I rolled from my belly to my back for the first time! I am a pro at rolling from my back to my front, but this was a first for me!

I am also sitting up on my own. Sure, I topple over pretty easily, but I am getting there!

Always eager to be heard, here I am blowing raspberries...

Ohio

We moved to Cleveland, Ohio! Daddy accepted a position as an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University, so we packed everything up and moved to the midwest! Mommy and Daddy found this great blue house in a wonderful neighborhood...

Isn't it cute?! I'm really excited to grow up in this house and play with my big brother and big "sister", Daisy.

4 month check-up

I am 4 months old today and doing great! I weigh 15 pounds, 6 ounces (75th percentile) and am 25 inches in length (60th percentile). The doctor said I could start eating solid foods soon. I'm starting to do really well during tummy time. Here I am looking up on my playmat...

I am reaching for objects a lot now. I love this musical toy that Grandma and Grandpa gave me...

My brother loves me soooo much! He loves to talk with me, hold me, and give me toys to play with. I cannot wait until I am bigger so I can play with him more!

I rolled over!

I rolled over for the first time this morning - twice! I was laying on my back under my playmat and rolled to my left side. I've been doing this for a while. Well, today, I ended up on my belly! Mommy and Daddy were very excited and rolled me on my back to see if it was true. Guess what...I rolled on my belly again! Unfortunately, Mommy didn't get a picture of me on my belly. Maybe next time!Evan was encouraging me on as well...

My first 4th!

It's the 4th of July! I had a lot of fun this evening. Mommy and Daddy grilled out while I played on my activity mat. Then we walked with our neighbors to see the local fireworks. I was really excited to see them as I was chatting up a storm with Mommy while we waited for them to start. Our neighbors liked seeing me talk a lot because I am usually asleep when they see me.

It was really hot and humid outside, so I wanted to be held while Daddy stood up.

Happy 4th of July!

First laugh

I laughed out loud for the first time while I was awake today! Sure, I have laughed while sleeping before, but this was a first! Mommy was pulling up the blinds and opening the windows, and I found something in that amusing and just giggled! It happened a few times and Mommy, Daddy, and Evan thought it was adorable. They kept trying to make me laugh more!
