My first haircut

As many may know, it took awhile for my hair to grow and thicken. After almost 19 months, my mommy and daddy decided it was time for my first haircut. Everyone, including numerous strangers, loved the curls on the back of my head...But the unruly whispies on the sides of my head (aka the "flock of seagulls!") were getting out of control! So this is me before...And after...The flock of seagulls is gone!
Daddy cut my hair while Mommy held me and I played with toys. They say I did really well for my first haircut! After it was finished, I did feel the sides of my head, wondering where my hair went. Now I look all grown up! What do you think?

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! This year I dressed up as Mickey Mouse. I even was crawling around like a mouse earlier in the day. Silly Mickey! Daddy was carving a jack-o-lantern and showed me the insides. Can I touch it?Better yet...can I help? I climbed up on this chair and everything. Ready! The finished product...Here I am as Mickey Mouse and my big brother, Evan, as a fireman. Grandma visited over the weekend and dressed up as a witch on Halloween. She handed out candy while we went trick-or-treating. I was not so sure of her costume, especially her wig and hat. When she took it off, I recognized her!Let's go trick-or-treating!
Whoops! When we were on the sidewalk, I went back up our driveway. We are supposed to walk up our neighbor's driveways? I understand now.
I had a great time trick-or-treating! It did not take me long to grasp the concept. Because I was so cute and friendly, our neighbors kept offering more and more candy to me! I certainly was not shy!
After collecting candy, Mommy and I went inside to warm up with a snack...
I was walking backwards and Daisy got all confused. She started barking at me, uh, barking at Mickey Mouse!

Fall fun...

Fall is definitely a beautiful time of year in Shaker Heights! The leaves are changing colors and the days are getting cooler. But there were a few warm days that snuck in! Here I am hanging out with Mommy while Evan was sliding in the backyard...
Happy Halloween! This was my first Halloween, and Mommy and Daddy decided to dress me up as a candy corn. What do you think?
Pretty cute, huh?!
Here I am with my big brother, Elmo, oops! I meant Evan. Ha!
Trick or treat!
Boo!

I'm 6 months old!

I had my 6-month check-up today and am doing great! I have a new pediatrician since we moved to Ohio, and Mommy likes the new group a lot. They have a 2-story tree house and slide in the waiting room. I cannot wait to get big enough to play on it! I am a proportional child...50th percentile across the boards. I weigh 17 pounds, 7 ounces, and am 26 1/4 inches in length. I am doing great with my rice cereal and now I can start more solid foods. Bring on the oatmeal, veggies, and fruits!
There goes my sock!
One trick I love to do is stick out my tongue. Mommy thinks it is adorable...don't you?

Army Crawling

I started "army crawling" today! Army crawling is where I use my arms to lift up my chest and move around the ground. I do not get on all four knees yet to truly crawl, as it is easier on the hardwood floors to army crawl. Now I can go everywhere and play with my toys! Here are Evan and I the day I army crawled for the first time...I have been pretty busy the past few weeks. From army crawling to saying, "mama" and "dada". What? Yes! I talk a lot now!I am also facinated with my puppy, Daisy. She never ceases to make me laugh. We are going to be best buds!
Mommy says I'm growing up fast. Who knows what tomorrow will bring!

First tooth!

I got my first tooth today! I have been struggling with teething for a while now, being fussy and my gums are ouchy. It sure is no fun! But Mommy and Daddy are always helpful and let me chew on their fingers if I need to!In other news, here is a family photo of us taken on my big brother's first day of preschool...
